Welcome to the Wild Rose Medical Centre. It is our pleasure to welcome you to our organization where we work hard to provide optimum primary health care in the rural community of Olds.

The Wild Rose Medical Centre is a family medicine practice providing care for all ages from newborn to seniors; including pediatric and adolescent care, men’s health, women’s health, geriatric and palliative care. Physicians provide comprehensive medical care for patients with complex or chronic diseases. Physicians also perform minor surgical procedures including excisions, vasectomy and circumcision services.  Patients requiring further specialist services are able to be referred to appropriate medical colleagues throughout Alberta to coordinate care which is not available in Olds.

In addition to working at the six local clinics our physicians also have medical responsibilities at the Olds and District Care Centre, (Hospital). Physicians share on call responsibilities in the Emergency Department, provide care to acute care patients in hospital, manage low risk labour and delivery, provide coverage in the Operating Room, and care for residents in long term care.

Due to these additional responsibilities, physicians may be called away from the clinic they have appointments at to care for a patient who requires urgent attention at the hospital. There may be times when your appointment may be delayed, or you will need to be rescheduled. We hope to keep these disruptions to a minimum, but they will occur from time to time. It is part of the nature of working in a rural medical practice. We appreciate your understanding.

The physicians of the Wild Rose Medical Centre are all members of the Peaks to Prairies Primary Care Network, which includes all physicians in Olds and Sundre.
