Dr. Martha Ingles is currently on a maternity leave as she anticipates the birth of her twins.  Dr. Ingles anticipates that she will be away from her practice until the fall, returning to work in November.

Dr. Joanna Slusar will be covering her practice during this time.

Dr. Turner would like to let his patients know that he has accepted a new medical leadership position with Alberta Health Services, as Associate Chief Medical Information Officer for Central Zone.

Dr. Turner will be taking a six month leave of absence from his clinic practice, from April 1st to September 30th, 2018.  This is to allow him to complete some previous work for Alberta Health Services, and get started on the work needed to help bring computerized medical records into all of the province’s hospitals.  Some of this work will include creating new ways for patients to access their medical information online, when they require services from AHS facilities and programs.

Dr. Turner plans to return to clinical work starting October 1st, 2018.

Dr. Turner will have 2 locum doctors covering while he is away.  Dr. Dalynne Peters will be covering from April 1  through June 30, and Dr. Richard Chan will be covering from July 1 through September 30, 2018.  They will have access to your medical information and can assist you with your concerns while I am away.  If these physicians are unavailable there are other opportunities to see other physicians at our clinic.

The Wild Rose Medical Centre joins Alberta Health Services in congratulating  Dr. Steven Turner on 25 years of medical service to the Olds Hospital and commitment to the community of Olds.

Thank you also for your continued medical leadership throughout Central Zone and the Province of Alberta.

The Wild Rose Medical Centre will be closed on Monday February 19th to recognize Family Day.

The Wild Rose Medical Centre will reopen on Tuesday February 20th at 8:15 a.m.

The Wild Rose Medical Centre wishes everyone a very Happy New Year on Monday January 1, 2018.  We will be closed to recognize the first day of the year.  If you are in need of medical services please call Health Link or visit the Olds Hospital Emergency Department where one of our physicians will be available.

The Wild Rose Medical Centre will be CLOSED on Monday December 25th to recognize Christmas Day.  The clinic will also be CLOSED on Tuesday December 26th for Boxing Day.  The Wild Rose Medical Centre will have regular hours on Wednesday December 27 through December 29, 2017.  In the event that you need medical services on Christmas Day or Boxing Day please call Health Link, or go to the Olds Hospital where one of our physicians will be available.

The Wild Rose Medical Centre will be CLOSED on Monday November 13, 2017 to pay tribute to the service men and women who gave so much for our freedom, and to honour those who serve today around the globe advocating for world peace.

The flu vaccines have arrived at the clinic. Have you had yours this Flu season? Children over the age of 9 years, and all adults are able to receive their flu vaccine at the clinic. Remember to ask for yours when you are next in.

It is great to welcome back Kathy Clarke who has returned to the Wild Rose Medical Centre team. Kathy will be working with the ladies on the Clinical Care team including Allison, Fritz, Jen, Joyce, Judy, Kathy K, Micki, Shelly, and Valdene.
