Month: October 2018

The Alberta College of Family Physicians has named the Wild Rose Medical Centre as the Family Practice of the Year. The leadership of the physicians and staff  in creating a model of patient centered and team based care are exemplary throughout the province.  The commitment and dedication to our patients and provision of community care are a benchmark for others in Alberta.  Specifically, the Wild Rose Medical Centre has been recognized for their outstanding contribution in implementing the principles of a Patient’s Medical Home, and going above and beyond the expectations of a family practice clinic.  The physicians provide community care to three senior’s facilities, including the Hospice Palliative Care, the Olds College and the Peaks to Prairies Primary Care Network in addition to  hospital care and providing Family Practice care at the uptowne location.  Congratulations!

The Wild Rose Medical Centre would like to apologize to our patients who were trying to phone us yesterday.

Our phones were not working properly throughout the day.

We are pleased that the situation which created the problem has been corrected.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The Wild Rose Medical Centre will be closed on Monday October 8th to allow our families to celebrate Thanksgiving.  This is a time to pause and reflect on the bounty and blessings we have as Canadians, and to thank those around us who do so much to make our community and our world a better place.  If you are in need of medical assistance over the Thanksgiving long weekend please call Health Link, or visit the local Olds Hospital where one of our physicians will be available.
